Acceptable use policy

Permitted use

• Removing metadata from images you own or have the right to process.
• Deleting location, device and personal details to protect your privacy.
• Inspecting the information inside images as part of your own workflow.

Prohibited use

• Misleading people about an image's origin, or presenting AI-generated content as a real document, evidence or news photo.
• Spreading "deepfake" images that impersonate, defame or sexualise real people without their consent.
• Spreading disinformation about elections, public health or emergencies.
• Fraud, impersonation or deceptive advertising.
• Infringing others' rights by removing copyright and author information from images that aren't yours.
• Avoiding a legal obligation to disclose AI-generated content.
• Any content that exploits minors; such content will be reported to the authorities.

Violations

Because we never see your images on our servers, we can't monitor individual use; however, users bear full legal responsibility for use that breaches this policy. We reserve the right to restrict access to the service where such use comes to our attention.
