What's hidden in your image?

  • Stable Diffusion (Automatic1111, Forge): prompt, negative prompt, model, sampler, steps and seed in the PNG "parameters" text chunk.
  • ComfyUI: the full node graph in the "prompt" and "workflow" chunks — anyone can rebuild your workflow exactly.
  • Midjourney: downloaded images can carry XMP/EXIF fields with a description and tool information.
  • Upscalers and editors: software name and their own signals.

Why it matters

Your prompt and workflow are often real work; once you share the image, anyone can read them from the file. These fields are also the easiest way for platforms to flag an image as AI content.

For images you sell or deliver to clients, leaving no prompt in the file is usually what you want, too.

What's kept

Transparency (the alpha channel), colour profile and image data stay as they are; the PNG isn't re-compressed. Frames in animated PNG and WebP files are preserved.

    Check the "PNG text" row for "parameters", "prompt" or "workflow" fields to see what's stored in the file.

    Download clean copies

    Download everything as a ZIP; "-clean" is added to the file names and your originals stay untouched.

Honestly: we can't guarantee it

Clean AI Label removes the AI metadata inside the file. Platforms can still apply a label based on invisible watermarks (such as SynthID), their own detection models or your own disclosure. That's why we don't guarantee the label disappears — and some platforms require AI content to be disclosed under their rules.

Frequently asked questions

I don't want to lose my prompt — what should I do?

Your original file isn't changed; the cleaned image downloads as a new copy. Archive the originals with prompts and share the clean copies.

Is the ComfyUI workflow removed completely?

Yes. The "prompt" and "workflow" text chunks are removed from the PNG; dragging the clean file into ComfyUI won't load a workflow.

Will PNGs with a transparent background break?

No. Transparency is part of the image data and is preserved; only text and metadata chunks are removed.

What if I want to keep the prompt when posting to sites like Civitai?

Some communities like prompts to be shared with images. In that case upload the original; the tool is only used when you choose to.

Once the page has loaded, all processing happens in your browser. We have no image server, no database and no upload service.

    The Google tag is on the page, but visit statistics are only collected if you allow it. Our application code never passes your images or metadata to Google.

  • Check it yourself

    In the Network tab you won't see any request carrying image data while you clean; any Google requests belong to analytics and ads only.
